Hanover is welcoming a new face. Chris Walker, Brockton’s Deputy Treasurer for the past 9 years will become Hanover’s new Treasurer and Director of Corporate Services today. Hanover’s Acting CAO Mike Dunlop says there were about 20 applicants but Walker was their top choice with 18 years of municipal experience. Dunlop says the job is mainly financial related but there will be some Human Resources duties as well as inventory management. Walker will take over from current Treasurer Dianne Mather who’s retiring.
