The Grey Bruce Health Unit is appealing for assistance in finding the owner of a dog who bit a woman in Sauble Beach this past weekend.
Public Health says a woman was bitten on the finger by a dog while letting it smell her hand around 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon in front of Steel N Ink on Main Street in Sauble.
The dog, which appeared to be a small/young Bullmastiff-type breed, was brindle in colour.
According to the health unit, tt was being walked by a woman with blonde hair who is believed to be in her 20s. The woman was later accompanied by two older men.
Grey Bruce Health Unit staff need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.
