The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new Covid cases and four resolved ones on Wednesday.
According to Public Health, residents of Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, Hanover, Kincardine and Saugeen Shores tested positive.
The region’s active known case load is down to 49. Five Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and one other is receiving care outside the area.
More than 216,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Today, there is a drop-in vaccination clinic at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as pop-up clinics at No Frills in Georgian Bluffs (Sunset Strip) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in Chatsworth at the site of the old arena from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. No appointments are required for any of these clinics.
Nineteen Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Wednesday are reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
