Grey Bruce OPP say they have located a boy who went missing in Sauble Beach yesterday evening.
Police say they were called just after 6:30 Tuesday night (Sept 22) about a missing 6 year old boy at Mapleport Crescent in Sauble Beach.
Officers searched the residence and surrounding properties but did not find him, and reasoned the boy walked away from the house in an unknown direction.
A search of the area was initiated including a helicopter and the canine unit.
Just after midnight, the OPP Helicopter spotted the boy in a wooded area within a kilometre of the house.
Emergency Response Team members were directed to the boy’s location, where he was found safe.
Grey Bruce OPP say they would like to thank the community and the South Bruce Peninsula and Saugeen First Nation Fire Departments for their help in the search.
