The Grey Bruce Health Unit is looking for the public's help in finding the owner of a dog that was involved in a biting incident in Owen Sound.
Public Health officials say at about 5:15 p.m., on Tuesday, February 25th, a woman was bitten by a large chocolate lab named Whiskey.
They say the it happened at the Owen Sound Leash-Free Dog Park on 1st Avenue East.
Staff say the dog first bit the victim’s dog and then the victim, when she tried to intervene.
Health officials say the dog was in the care of a woman who apologized but did not leave her name or contact information.
Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not doesn't have rabies so the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
