Another accolade for Bruce Power staff.
The company’s Emergency and Protective Services Fire Combat Team was named the second best industrial brigade at the 2013 FireFit Canadian Championships in Edmonton.
The five member Bruce Power team faces fire departments and industrial brigades from across Canada, as well as Germany and Australia.
The Bruce Power squad members finished second to the Industrial Brigade team from Shell Scotford in Alberta.
The team members Scott Minty, Justin Clarke, Shaun Brandon, Brendon Martin and Mike Nixon.
Ripley resident Thomas Elliot also competed at the National Championships — and won the Rookie of the Year honours.
He is a student of the fire program at Lambton College and a former high school co-op student at Bruce Power.
