A third person is hoping to run for the job of Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP in the upcoming October federal election.
Current MP Larry Miller has announced he plans to retire after this term.
Rick Byers is seeking the conservative nomination for the 2019 campaign.
He has been the president of the bruce grey Owen sound conservative and the progressive conservative associations and was campaign manager for MPP Bill Walker's 2018 reelection.
Byers lives in Kimberly and is retired from a 32 year career in infrastructure, finance, and government.
Recently he has worked with the multi municipal long term care working group to save Grey Gables.
So far his competitors are Chesley native Chad Richards, and Tara native and retired Colonel Alex Ruff.
