There’s a clinic on Saturday for you to vaccinate your pet against contracting rabies.
The clinic comes after the Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed its second case of rabies in local wildlife.
Just this past week, a big brown bat was found in Tara, infected by rabies.
The rabies clinic is being held at the Owen Sound Animal Shelter.
Dr. Melissa Becker is administering the vaccinations from 10 AM until 2 PM — at 2125 18th Avenue East.
The cash only clinic will cost you $25 dollars per animal.
The Health Unit reminds you to contact them if you suspect a rabid animal.
It’s a deadly disease of the central nervous system that affects humans and other mammals.
