It’s been a great first month of business for 7Acres in Tiverton.
Parent company, Supreme Pharmaceuticals, is reporting a $1.5 million profit for the first month of business.
Supreme recently signed on with Aurora Cannabis Inc. in Calgary to supply them with top north medical grade marijuana, providing roughly 19,000 registered patients with their product grown at their greenhouses near Tiverton, ON.
Supreme Pharmaceuticals President and CEO, John Fowler, says as a consumer facing company it’s very exciting to finally get their product to market.
“This is a big milestone for us, it helps validate the business model and validate the high quality cannabis that we’re producing. It’s a testament to the hard work of my team over the last few years to get us to where we are today and so far the reviews have been fantastic,” says Fowler.
7Acres has also lent a hand throughout the region, creating jobs and growth locally.
Over the next year or so, Fowler says they’ll be looking to add approximately 100 more jobs at the facility creating more growth and opportunity.
The 7Acres facility in Tiverton has also expanded from 10,000 square feet to a whopping 40,000 square feet, quadrupling their output.
With Canada set to legalize marijuana in July of 2018, Fowler says this looks like Canada will become the first G-7 Nation to legalize recreational cannabis as well.
“For a high quality grower like us, that’s a market growth from a few hundred thousand medical patients to a few million Canadians who use cannabis recreationally so we’re very excited about what’s to come over the next twelve months,” adds Fowler.
7Acres is federally licensed to grow, produce and sell medical grade marijuana from its Hybrid Greenhouse Facility in Tiverton, Ontario.
