South Bruce OPP have laid arson charges in an investigation into an April fire in the Lucknow area.
Police say the blaze happened at about 10:15 p.m. back on April 3rd.
OPP, the Lucknow Fire Department, and the Kincardine Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residential property along Bruce Road 86, Township of Huron-Kinloss. The cause fire was deemed to be suspicious.
As a result of the investigation, on June 27th, the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit made an arrest in relation to their investigation.
A 49 year old Toronto man is charged with arson, break & enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, and charges related to forgery and the theft of electricity or gas.
The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice in July.
