West Grey Police say a person has died in an ATV crash in Elmwood.
On June 1st, officers responded to a single vehicle collision near the intersection of John Street East and George Street in Elmwood.
West Grey Police say when they arrived, members of the community were already on scene providing first aid and CPR to the victim. Elmwood Fire Services and Bruce County Paramedics also responded.
Police say despite these efforts, the 32-year-old male driver of the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP reconstruction team will be attending the scene to assist with accident reconstruction and analysis.
As a result, John Street East remains closed between Main Street North and George Street North.
Police are asking people to avoid the area. They say their investigation is ongoing, and add, “The West Grey Police Service extends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.”
