More teams are joining the Ontario Elite Hockey League starting in the 2025-26 season.
The league announced that it has approved the expansion applications for three teams: the Elora Rocks, Shelburne Muskies, and the Tillsonburg Thunder.
The three teams are all established and respected organizations within their communities, and OEHL Commissioner Rick Richardson says that “These are three franchises steeped in hockey tradition.”
The expansion continues on the OEHL’s vision of a competitive Senior AA hockey league across small communities in Ontario.
The approvals bring the number of teams in the league to 14.
Richardson says that the league is open to approving more additional teams for the upcoming season.
