Construction work on the Durham Street Bridge is progressing according to plan.
Bruce County’s Transportation and Environmental Serviced provided an update to council this week.
The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The department says that the three-tier weight restrictions on the bridge will be re-assessed after phase one of the project is complete.
For phase two, the rehabilitative work is focused on resurfacing.
The winter weather the region has been seeing has created some challenges for the completion of phase one, which focused on repairing lap joints and expansion joints, but crews have been able to keep the project moving.
