South Bruce OPP say they’ve arrested a wanted person and laid additional charges.
They say on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, at approximately 3:22 p.m., officers were on foot in a wooded area off of South Street in Walkerton to search for a suspect in an unrelated matter.
Police say they encountered an individual with outstanding warrants who attempted to flee on foot; but ran in the direction where additional officers were situated.
They were arrested without incident. Police say a search incident to arrest led to additional charges. A 36 year old of no fixed address is charged with failing to comply with release order and possession of meth.
