A local senior from Pike Bay is walking down the Bruce Peninsula and back to raise money for the Lion’s Head Hospital.
Wendell Thomson is walking September 9th and 10th from Pike Bay to Sauble Beach. It’s 30 kms each way.
His goal is to raise $50,000 to help fund a barrier-free shower for the hospital.
Executive Director of Bruce Peninsula Hospitals foundation April Patry says the Brightshores Lion’s Head hospital site was built in the 1950s and has some accessibility challenges.
