A 33-year-old Owen Sound man has been charged with assault with a weapon after an incident in a vehicle.
City police say last Tuesday (July 16) a female victim reported being intentionally poked in the eye and punched repeatedly by associates of hers, one of whom was wearing brass knuckles.
The assault took place inside a moving vehicle in the area of 16th Street East and 9th Avenue East, Owen Sound.
The victim was treated in hospital and released.
The next day, the 33-year-old male suspect was arrested by Saugeen Shores Police on an unrelated matter.
Police say he had brass knuckles. They say he has been charged with several offences including assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with an undertaking and a probation order.
Police have also arrested and charged a 24-year-old Owen Sound woman with assault in relation to the incident.
