Residents near Chatsworth have a chance to go on TV as an extra for a new show being filmed in the area.
GHA Talent Agent Yasmeen Gjelsvik says they are looking for about 100 people during each day of filming to be extras for the first season of Motorheads.
“It’s about young people that are car enthusiasts and kind of their lives in a small town,” says Gjelsvik.
While she does not know what exactly the filming will include in Chatsworth outside of a possible motorcross or ATV race, she encourages people interested to keep their schedules clear for any day between June 3 and 6.
“We are looking for people for all of those days, but people do not necessarily have to be available for every day. We are looking for locals because given the distance from Toronto, we would rather hire locals, rather then having people commute three plus hours,” says Gjelsvik. “Most likely they are going to be audience members sitting and watching the action that is going on.”
She adds they are looking for extras within the age range of 18 to 40 as it is a series more geared towards youth.
She says people who would like to be extras can expect to be filled in on where they need to be and at what time the night before.
“It can be as long as 14 to 15 hours,” says Gjelsvik.
Participants will be guaranteed a minimum of eight hours pay equalling $132.40 and can increase depending on how long the filming takes.
Lunch will be provided and anyone interested can reach out to Gjelsvik at ghatalent@gmail.com.
