The Hanover Barons are the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Pollock Division champions for the first time in 21 years.
Drayton Howell scored 7:58 into the third period to lift the Barons to a 2-1 win over the Mount Forest Patriots in front of a sellout crowd at the P & H Centre in Game 7 of the Pollock Division final Monday evening.
Alex McGillivray also scored for Hanover. Austin Griffin had the lone goal for the Patriots.
The Barons are moving on to face the Alliston Hornets in the PJHL North Conference final.
