One person was rescued from a structure fire by Saugeen First Nation firefighters over the long weekend.
The Saugeen Fire Service says on social media it responded to a blaze around 4:45 a.m. early Sunday morning.
The fire service says a victim was trapped, with flames cutting off the exit to the home.
Firefighters quickly battled the fire and managed to get the victim out.
The fire service says the person suffered smoke inhalation and some other minor injuries, but avoided a worse outcome thanks to the work of first responders.
