An artist from Lion’s Head will have the honour of one of her works being added to the Royal Trust Collection this weekend.
Lin Souliere’s painting, titled “Canadian Shield Rock, Georgian Bay” is one of the artistic works that have been sent to London head of the coronation of King Charles III, which takes place on May 6th.
The Royal Trust Collection is housed at Windsor Castle and is the largest private art collection in the world that is owned by the British royal family.
The painting was completed at her art studio, the Dragonfly Ridge Studio, and was inspired by trips to Killbear Provincial Park.
The seven artists were selected to participate because their art is known for its diversity and creativity in the Canadian art scene.
Each of the artists who have given a piece of their art is affiliated with Canadian art societies, such as the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, the Society of Canadian Artists, and the Ontario Society of Artists.
King Charles is an honorary member of the CSPWC, as he paints in watercolours as a hobby.
Souliere’s art is joined by works from four other Ontario artists: Linda Kemp, Rayne Tunley, Peter Marsh, and Neville Clarke, as well as Poppy Balser from Nova Scotia, and Shari Blaukopf of Quebec.
