Masking is no longer required for everyone at South Bruce Grey Health Centre hospitals.
The regional hospital organization says the update to its masking policy is in response to guidance from Public Health Ontario on Infection and Control Measures in hospitals.
“Masks will remain a requirement for patients and visitors in the Emergency Department waiting room and treatments rooms, in patient rooms, and for patients with cough, cold or fever,” a release from South Bruce Grey Health Centre says.
Grey Bruce Health Services recently made a similar change to its masking policy as well.
South Bruce Grey Health Centre operates hospitals in Chesley, Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton.
