Annual municipal council remuneration reports are being submitted by staff this time of year.
Saugeen Shores Committee of the Whole recieved a staff report Monday night listing council pay for the period of January1st to December 31st, 2022.
The report also lists expenses claimed by councillors and also their remuneration for the boards and committees they sit on.
A new council was elected October 24th 2022. While the staff report also shows the pay of new councillors, it only accounts for about one month because the reporting period ends December 31st, 2022.
Below is the basic remuneration for those of the previous council, without adding board and committee pay or expenses for those who had them.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau was paid $40,878.
Deputy Mayor Don Matheson made $23,979
Vice Deputy Mayor Mike Myatt was paid $24,353.
Councillor Cheryl Grace was paid $20,868
Councillors Dave Myette and John Divinski made $21,210
Councillor Jami Smith was paid $19,434
Councillor Matt Carr was paid $18,751
