Flu shots are now available in the region.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit says you can get a jab through your healthcare provider, at participating pharmacies or at a scheduled Public Health vaccine clinic.
The health unit is recommending everyone aged six months and older who have no issues with the influenza vaccine, to get the shot this fall.
GBHU Physician Consultant Dr. Rim Zayed says, “with influenza and Covid co-circulating in the community this respiratory illness season, public health advises residents to get vaccinated against both viruses as soon as possible.”
The health unit is holding walk-in influenza vaccine clinics at the public health building in Owen Sound on Nov. 17 and 24, and on Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
