Lorie Fioze, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, updated the council by sharing that “We’re going to create a more robust tool that helps staff in particular and committees of council when working on projects no matter which part of the project you’re in, you’ll be able to help improve equity and access.”
A majority of their work is through social media and engagement with the public.
“We’ve created National Indigenous History Month resources, and we hosted information tables at Canada Day in 2021 and 2022 to support and create awareness and provide educational resources around National Indigenous History Month as well as National Reconciliation.”
The IDEA team is also participating in the Grey-Bruce Immigration Partnership.
