Long-term care facilities in Bruce County are heading towards more relaxed COVID-19 visiting restrictions.
Both Brucelea Haven in Walkerton and Gateway Haven in Wiarton are changing their policies to allow unvaccinated visitors into resident rooms.
The facilities will still be maintaining their usual infection prevention practices, which include cleaning regimens, physical distancing, and wearing masks.
The facilities are also removing the restrictions to make incoming visitors to pre-book their visits.
The relaxed policies are in response to a reduced number of new COVID-19 cases in the region over the past two months.
