The Covid assessment centres in Southampton and Lion’s Head will be closing this week.
Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS) says due to provincial restrictions on who is eligible for Covid testing and declining local transmission of the virus, the centres at both the Southampton and Lion’s Head hospital will be closed as of March 1.
GBHS confirms the assessment centre in Owen Sound will remain open for Covid testing and clinical assessments for those who meet the eligible criteria.
GBHS says it will continue to monitor Covid illness in the region, and is able ramp up services if needed.
