The Town of Saugeen Shores has a new Director of Community Services and Operations.
Kristan Shrider is returning to the Town.
She is known to many in the community as a councillor for the Port Elgin Ward. She has now resigned from council in order to move into this role.
Shrider had previously been with the Town of Saugeen Shores from 2001 to 2015 in operations, parks and facilities.
Right now, she’s with the City of Owen Sound as the Senior Manager of Corporate and Facility Services. Before that, she was the City’s Senior Manager of Property, Parks and Open Spaces.
She will be back working for Saugeen Shores starting February 14th.
The Director of Community Services and Operations leads all activities associated with water, wastewater, landfill, cemeteries, infrastructure maintenance, rec facilities, parks, trails, campgrounds, aquatics, beaches, waterfront, and harbour.
