Grey Bruce is expected to get a blast of wintry weather today.
Squall warnings and watches are in place across Bruce and Grey counties. Environment Canada says persistent snow squalls are expected and will quickly accumulate.
The squalls are expected to begin early this morning and visibility will be significantly reduced due to heavy and blowing snow, with northwesterly wind gusts of up to 70 km/h.
Forecasters say the squalls will dissipate Tuesday morning.
Fifteen to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to be on the ground by Tuesday morning. Some areas hit with the heaviest bands could see up to 30 centimetres.
Environment Canada warns driving conditions could be challenging due to the weather as snow squalls cause conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.
Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
