A few isolated power outages are being reported by Hydro One in Bruce and Grey counties this morning after a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the region yesterday.
Nearly hydro customers are impacted near Hanover, Ayton, Elmwood, Glammis, Inverhuron and Bentinck, among other communities.
Estimated restoration time for most of the outages has now been pushed back to around 6 p.m. today.
Meanwhile, according to a social media post by West Grey Police, a house along Highway 6 near Grey Road 12 was struck by lightning. Both police and West Grey firefighters responded.
West Grey firefighters also quickly worked to clear a fallen tree that was blocking Highway 6 close to Rocky Saugeen Road just after 8:30 p.m., according to police.
The line of storms prompted severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in Grey Bruce Tuesday evening, one week after a confirmed EF2 twister ripped through the Lucknow area and Saugeen Shores was hit by a series of downbursts.
