The Northern Tornadoes Project says it has confirmed four new tornadoes for Southern Ontario.
It says there were three non-supercell EF0s entirely over Lake Huron Sunday evening and an EF0 from a supercell that moved from Lake Huron onshore north of Goderich near 4 Monday morning.
They say that’s unusual but can clearly happen.
According to the Northern Tornadoes Project, three concurrent tornadoes over Lake Huron, west of Pike Bay were captured in videos and photos. They say several vortex funnel clouds were also seen. No damage was reported.
At 4 Monday morning, near Port Albert, tree damage was reported after what’s been classified as an EF0 tornado over land. Its esitmated maximum wind speed is 115 km/h with a path width of 175 metres.
