The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 10 new Covid cases on Wednesday.
According to Public Health, three people from West Grey, two from Hanover and residents of South Bruce Peninsula, South Bruce, Saugeen Shores, Grey Highlands and Chatsworth tested positive.
With one previous case now resolved, the region’s active known case load increased to 53. One Grey Bruce resident is hospitalized locally and another is receiving care outside the area.
More than 121,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Wednesday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
