A prominent Saugeen Shores businessman and community leader, has passed away after a battle with cancer.
64 year old Lawrence “Larry” Carr of Port Elgin died on February 23rd with his family by his side.
Carr, originally from Pembroke, Ontario, was a father, grandfather and optometrist who began a practice that lasted 40-year and is now known as Saugeen Shores Family Eye Care.
Larry Carr was a member of the Port Elgin Masonic Lodge and the Bruce Shrine Club.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Sunday, March 1st at Lakeshore Recreation from 2pm to 5pm.
