Owen Sound police say there's a scam targeting people staying in hotel rooms.
Police say on Wednesday, September 11th, they were contacted by a local hotel about fraudsters calling and asking for room numbers.
Police say once transferred, scammers would tell the occupants they were over-billed, and ask the occupant for their credit card number for a refund.
According to police, at this point it looks like no one has fallen for the scam.
