The first Zip Coaster in Canada has officially opened at Sauble Beach.
Ascent Aerial Park unveiled its newest attraction yesterday — a roller coaster 35 feet above the ground which dangles riders below the track similar to zip line.
Ryan Gardhouse, co-owner of the aerial park, says the new coaster offers riders a chance to soak in the beautiful view at Sauble Beach while going on an exhilarating ride.
South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Janice Jackson was among those taking the new ride for a test run yesterday.
“It's a ton of fun and the view from up there is stunning,” Jackson exclaims. “What a great addition to the Ascent Aerial Park and Sauble Beach.”
Ascent Aerial Park is an amusement centre at Sauble Beach that first opened in June 2017. In addition to the new Zip Coaster, it features many other attractions such as a high ropes course, a soda factory, climbing walls and axe throwing.
