Watch out for a possible hydro scam.
Westario Power representatives say that a few weeks ago, they were notified of calls received in the Halton Hills and Renfrew areas from someone claiming to be from the ''Ontario Rebate and Reward Association,'' offering rebates on electricity bills and asking for access to homes to verify they were eligible for the rebates.
Westario Power says that they have since been notified that these calls are now also being made in Collingwood and may be in other areas as well.
The caller made no mention of calls to the Affordability Fund number or signing up online and the telephone number was reportedly ''blocked'' on call display.
Westario says that any calls made from the Affordability Fund call centre outbound now show the 1-855 Affordability Fund phone number and ''Affordability''.
