2014 offers the potential for a change in government at Queens Park, at least that’s according to Bruce-Grey-Owen-Sound MPP Bill Walker.
The Progressive Conservative is hoping the Kathleen Wynne Liberal government falls, sending voters to the polls.
According to Walker, the NDP need to stop propping up the government in confidence votes, keeping Wynne’s government in power.
However, if there’s no election, Walker would like to see a change in direction by the Liberal’s, although he isn’t optimistic.
The MPP tells Bayshore Broadcasting News government official say they want to have a conversation about the issues, but Walker claims action is what’s needed to get the province back on track.
Walker also argues the Liberals can’t keep up the frivolous spending without going bankrupt.
The provincial PC member argues that after ten-years in power, the Liberals have strayed from their focus, losing touch with rural Ontario.
One issue Walker plans to push for in 2014 is a new Markdale hospital, which has been on the back burner for years.
