There is a blood donor clinic in Owen Sound today in memory of Hayley Nuttal.
The eight year old girl from Shallow Lake died more than two years ago after battling cancer for three years.
Canadian Blood Services has invited Hayley’s parents to the clinic to talk about the gift of life and to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
The clinic is being held from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Hundreds of children with cancer in Canada require five to eight units of blood during each and every weekly treatments.
This is the first ever weekend clinic in Owen Sound, in hopes of attracting new donors.
