If you want to get an up-close look at some rare autos, the place to be this weekend is Cobble Beach in Georgian Bluffs.
Resort owner Rob McLeese says several rare and exotic cars will be in Grey County for the “Concours d’Elegance” on Saturday from 9 AM until 5:30 PM.
More than 100 cars are scheduled to be at Cobble Beach, many worth over one million dollars.
They include the 1978 Montreal Grand Prix winning Ferrari driven by Gilles Villeneuve, 1930 Cadillac V16 Rumble Seat Roadster provided by Steve Plunkett, and a 1956 Maserati 200 SI .
They will be on the 18th fairway of the golf course overlooking Georgian Bay.
You can check them out while the owners compete in several categories including American and European classics, sports cars and muscle cars.
General Admission tickets of 40 dollars each include complimentary offsite parking with shuttle service to the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance show grounds.
Officials tell Bayshore Broadcasting News some two thousand tickets had already been sold by Thursday morning for the show.
VIP tickets at 300 dollars each, include exclusive access to the VIP Clubhouse from 9 AM to 5 PM with a breakfast buffet, gourmet lunch buffet and sponsored premium wine served throughout the day and a cash bar.
The funds raised a the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance, will help support the Sunnybrook Foundation’s goal to build a state-of-the-art helipad on top of the hospital.
