Tamales, tacos and enchiladas.
Get your Mexican food taste buds in gear, Casero Catering is ready to do business in Sauble Beach in a non-mobile food trailer.
South Bruce Peninsula Council has approved a bylaw, allowing the operators, Beth Milne and Emily Leonard, to go ahead with their plan.
The non-mobile antique 1947 double-decker bus will be located at 316 Main Street, on the site of the old mini-golf course, adjacent to “The Boat,” which is commercially zoned property.
Milne says they will specialize in Mexican cuisine which she believes will enhance the local food options in the tourist town.
Approval of the plan had to go through due process and the owners were hoping to be open by the Canada Day Weekend.
That didn’t happen but approval was finally given July 2nd with a sigh of relief and a round of applause from the entrepreneurs, who have been trying since February to meet all the conditions in order to move ahead.
Beth Milne tells Bayshore Broadcasting news, they hope to be in operation this weekend in Sauble Beach.
